Introduction
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at sponsorfinder.io and any associated features (the "Service"), operated by Sponsor Finder ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data. Where you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, the European Union or the Netherlands, you keep the protections of mandatory consumer-protection law of your habitual residence and nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit those protections.
Definitions
- Service
- The website at sponsorfinder.io and all functionality made available through it, including the public sponsor directory, organisation detail pages, the authenticated dashboard, the bookmark feature, the job-application tracker, file uploads and the bug-report widget.
- Operator / we / us
- Sponsor Finder, the entity that operates the Service. Contact: hi@sponsorfinder.io.

- Any individual who accesses or uses the Service, whether or not signed in.
- Account
- A registered user account on the Service, used to access the dashboard, bookmarks, profile and job tracker.
- User Content
- Any information you submit to the Service, including profile information, bookmarks, job-tracker entries, recruiter contact details, uploaded documents and bug reports.
- Register Data
- Information about visa-sponsor organisations sourced from public government registers (UK Home Office register of licensed sponsors; Netherlands IND register of recognised sponsors) and from third-party sources such as Companies House.
- Third-Party Personal Data
- Personal data about an individual other than you that you submit to the Service — typically the name, work email address or LinkedIn profile of a recruiter or hiring contact.
The service
The Service is an aggregator and search interface for organisations that are licensed or recognised to sponsor work or study visas in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. It is funded by advertising and is provided to you free of charge.
Signed-in users can additionally bookmark organisations and use a private job-application tracker that supports kanban-style stages, file uploads (CVs, cover letters, offer documents) and per-job notes. The Service is informational only: it is not legal, immigration or career advice, and we do not have any relationship with the listed organisations.
Eligibility
Minimum age: 16
You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the law of your jurisdiction to create an account or use authenticated features of the Service. By creating an account you confirm that you meet these requirements.
Accounts & registration
You register for an account using your email address and a password (minimum 8 characters), or by signing in with Google. You must keep your credentials confidential and you are responsible for activity that takes place under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when registering, to keep your profile current, and to notify us promptly at hi@sponsorfinder.io if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. You may only hold one account at a time and you may not share your account with another person.
Acceptable use
Permitted
You may use the Service for lawful, personal purposes connected to your own job search or research into visa-sponsor organisations. You may browse the public sponsor directory, search and filter, view individual organisations, bookmark them for later, and track your own job applications in the dashboard.
Prohibited
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or otherwise automate access to the Service or any of its endpoints without our prior written consent.
- Bypass, disable or interfere with security or rate-limit measures, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, account, server or network.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Use the Service in a way that would breach the terms of the underlying public-register sources (UK Home Office, IND Netherlands, Companies House) or any open-data licence on which we rely.
- Upload, store or transmit any content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, malicious (including malware), or that contains personal data of third parties beyond what is reasonably necessary in a professional job-search context.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications, to harass any individual (including a recruiter or other contact), or for any unlawful direct-marketing purpose.
- Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit access to the Service or the Register Data without our written permission.
- Use the Service to make or imply any visa, immigration or legal recommendation to any other person.
Rate limits
Requests are rate-limited to 10 per IP address per 60 seconds; avatar uploads are limited to 5 MB (JPEG, PNG, WebP); each job-tracker document upload is limited to 10 MB (PDF, DOCX).User content & uploads
Licence to operate
You retain all rights in User Content you submit to the Service. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display and otherwise process that User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and complying with our legal obligations. We do not use your User Content to serve advertising or to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. This licence ends when the relevant User Content is deleted from the Service, subject to short-term retention in encrypted backups (see the Privacy Policy).
Third-party personal data
Where you enter personal data of another individual into the Service (in particular recruiter names, work email addresses or LinkedIn URLs), you confirm and warrant that:
- you have a lawful basis under Article 6 GDPR to record and process that data (typically your own legitimate interest in pursuing a job application, balanced against the rights of the individual);
- you have provided that individual with the information required by Article 14 GDPR where applicable, or that an exemption applies;
- you will use that data solely in a professional job-search context and not to send unsolicited marketing, harass or otherwise act in a way that the individual would not reasonably expect;
- you will respond promptly to any data-subject request that we forward to you and, on request, will delete the relevant entry.
You agree to indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from your breach of this warranty, to the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to the consumer-protection carve-outs set out in these Terms.

Intellectual property
All intellectual-property rights in the Service — including the Sponsor Finder name and logo, our brand assets, the design system, our application code, copy, layout and structured aggregation — are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.
Organisation names, logos and trademarks shown in the Service belong to their respective owners and are used for the purpose of identifying licensed or recognised sponsors (nominative use). Their inclusion does not imply any endorsement of, or relationship with, the Service. If you believe content on the Service infringes your intellectual-property rights, please contact us at hi@sponsorfinder.io with sufficient information to identify the rights and the allegedly infringing material.

Disclaimers
Data accuracy
Register Data is provided as a courtesy and is drawn from public sources that we refresh on a schedule. We use reasonable efforts to keep it current and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that an organisation is currently licensed or recognised, that its contact details are correct, or that there is no error in our scraping or enrichment pipeline. You should always verify visa-sponsor status with the relevant authority (UK Home Office or IND Netherlands) and confirm details directly with the employer before relying on them.
Not legal advice
The Service does not provide legal, immigration, employment, financial or career advice. Nothing on the Service is intended to be a substitute for advice from a qualified immigration adviser, lawyer or other professional. You are solely responsible for any decision you take based on information found on the Service.
"As is"
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in this paragraph excludes any warranty or condition that cannot be excluded under the law of your habitual residence as a consumer.
Liability
Subject to the carve-outs set out below, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- we will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss; and
- our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed one hundred Great British pounds (GBP 100), or, if higher, the total amount you have paid us for the Service in that period (which for a free service is zero).
Cap: GBP 100 or the fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater.

Suspension & termination
Operator suspension & termination rights
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates legal, security or operational risk for us or for other users (for example, scraping, attempting to bypass rate limits, uploading unlawful content, or harassing third parties). Where we do so, we will use reasonable efforts to give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach unless doing so is impractical, would prejudice the rights of others, or is prohibited by law.
We may also discontinue the Service or any individual feature at any time, with reasonable advance notice to registered users where practicable.
Your right to terminate & delete
You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete individual bookmarks, tracker entries, uploaded documents and your avatar directly from the product, sign out individual devices, and "sign out everywhere" to revoke all your active sessions. A self-service "delete my account" button is not yet exposed in the product; until it is, you can email hi@sponsorfinder.io from the address registered to your account to request account deletion. We will complete deletion within 30 days, with corresponding deletion from encrypted backups occurring no later than 180 days afterwards.
Effect of termination
On termination, your right to access authenticated features ends and your User Content will be deleted in accordance with the retention periods set out in the Privacy Policy. Provisions of these Terms that, by their nature, should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
Changes to the service
We continue to develop and improve the Service. We may add, change or remove features at any time. Where a change materially reduces the functionality available to you we will give you reasonable advance notice in the product or by email where practicable. We do not offer a service-level agreement; we use reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version and effective date at the top of these Terms always reflect the version in force. Where a change is material we will tell registered users by an in-product notice and, where we hold your email address, by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree to a material change, you can stop using the Service and delete your account before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires separate consent.
Governing law & jurisdiction
- Governing law
- These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Courts
- Subject to the consumer carve-out below, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
Consumer protections
Where you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the Netherlands, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your habitual residence under Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 593/2008), and you may bring proceedings against us in the courts of your habitual residence and we may only bring proceedings against you in those courts, in accordance with Articles 17 to 19 of the Brussels I Regulation (recast) (Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012). Where you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, the equivalent protections of UK consumer-private-international-law rules apply.
Dispute resolution
If you have a complaint about the Service, please contact us first at hi@sponsorfinder.io with a description of the issue and any relevant information. We will acknowledge your message and use reasonable efforts to resolve the complaint within 30 days.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union and we have not resolved your complaint, you can use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr to submit your complaint. We are not currently signed up to a specific alternative-dispute-resolution scheme in the United Kingdom; you remain free to bring proceedings before the courts of your habitual residence in accordance with the consumer carve-out above.
Privacy complaints can additionally be addressed to the supervisory authority of your habitual residence — in particular, the Information Commissioner’s Office (UK) at https://ico.org.uk and the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Netherlands) at https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
Complaints: hi@sponsorfinder.io
EU consumers may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
General
Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performing, our obligations under these Terms to the extent that the failure or delay is caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failure or interruption of any third-party service (such as Supabase, Vercel, Google, or the public-register sources), denial-of-service attack, natural disaster, civil unrest, government action, or change in law.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its intent.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional notices or in-product disclosures that apply to specific features, form the entire agreement between you and us about your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreement on the same subject matter. Nothing in this clause limits any non-excludable consumer right or any liability for fraud.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, provided that the assignee agrees to be bound by these Terms and your rights are not adversely affected.
No waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms on any occasion does not waive our right to enforce it on a later occasion.
